Instead, take advantage of this time to nourish your heart as well as your body.

Every child should be encouraged to talk while the others listen uninterrupted. Children feel more included when small customs are followed, such as allowing one child to select the menu or saying a joint dua before meals. Not because they are elegant or flawless, but rather because they are dependable, comforting, and stress-free, meals become emotionally safe. Spiritual Insight
The holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ often shared meals as acts of love and community. Allah Almighty states in the noble Quran at Surah Al Insaan (76), Verse 9:
“We are only feeding you for the sake of Allah (Almighty); we do not seek from you any reward or any gratitude. “
It is recorded in Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3287, that the holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Eat together and do not eat separately, for the blessing is in being together. “
